Cortisol = Body Fat.
If cortisol stays high, fat stays high.
(especially around your belly)
Here's the mechanism on how to fix it:
1. Get sunlight first thing in the morning.
Step outside for a few minutes when you wake up, before you reach for your phone.
Morning light helps your cortisol rise early and fall at night, so it stops staying high and storing belly fat.
2. Eat a real breakfast with protein.
Aim for 30 to 40 grams of protein in the morning, like eggs or yogurt.
It keeps your blood sugar steady, and steady blood sugar keeps cortisol calm all day.
3. Wait a little before your coffee.
Give it 60 to 90 minutes after waking before your first cup.
Your body already spikes cortisol in the morning, and adding caffeine on top just keeps you wired and stressed.
4. Walk every day.
A daily walk, especially after meals, does more than you think.
Walking lowers cortisol and burns fat gently, without the stress that hard cardio puts on your body.
5. Lift weights instead of grinding cardio.
Strength training a few times a week is plenty.
Lifting lowers your everyday stress and builds muscle, and muscle is what keeps the fat off long term.
6. Protect your sleep.
Go to bed at the same time, keep your room cool and dark, and put your phone away early.
Poor sleep is one of the biggest causes of high cortisol, and high cortisol means stubborn belly fat.
7. Slow down and breathe when you feel stressed.
Take a few slow, deep breaths whenever life feels overwhelming.
It calms your body fast and brings your cortisol down in the moment.
Lower your cortisol and the belly fat finally starts to move.
Eat enough, move daily, sleep well, and stay calm.
