We've been busy! The Pollinator Paradise Garden Project at Valley Head School has officially come to life. 🌿🐝 Students, teachers, volunteers, and local businesses worked together to transform this courtyard into a vibrant outdoor learning space filled with native plants, creativity, and hands-on experiences. From building garden beds to spotting a monarch caterpillar on milkweed, this project created meaningful moments that will inspire curiosity, collaboration, and environmental stewardship for years to come. This project would have not been possible without our local partners: Alabama Association of RC & D Councils, Clint Croxton of Soil n' Green Native Plants & Landscaping, Victor Wood Garden Design, KWorthey Excavation, and VHS Agriculture Business Department. Thank you to everyone who supported this incredible community effort! We can't wait to see what happens next.

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight to support our talented young artists and performers! MERF is incredibly proud to help bring fine arts opportunities to students at Valley Head High School—this was truly an experience they will never forget.

A special thank you to the Alabama State Council on the Arts for providing the grant that made this event possible.

And a heartfelt thank you to Sherryl Lewis for creating such a meaningful experience for her students and inspiring a love for the arts in their everyday lives. They are so excited to take their artwork home and share it with their families!
