Laura Tomcik is the 2026 recipient of the University Library Barnard Outstanding Service Award!
This award recognizes a library staff member who demonstrates outstanding service, innovation, and collaboration across the UW–Stout community. Laura’s leadership in research and instruction, her work advancing digital accessibility, and her engagement with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence have made a lasting impact on campus.
Colleagues describe Laura as forward-thinking, collaborative, and consistently willing to go above and beyond in support of students, faculty, and staff. Her efforts continue to strengthen library services and enhance the university’s academic environment.
Thank you to the David P. Barnard Family Endowment and the UW-Stout University Foundation for supporting this award to recognize library staff. Please join us in congratulating Laura on this well-deserved recognition!
