Back to School & Fresh off the Farm! 🌽

We are so excited to welcome our students back to the cafeteria, and we’re kicking off the new school year with an extra special treat.

On tomorrow’s lunch menu across the entire district: locally grown, sweet corn on the cob!

Straight from the Source: A massive thank you to local farmer Gary Buckley for providing this incredible, fresh harvest for our students.

Teamwork in Action: Shout out to the team who rolled up their sleeves and spent hours husking every single ear to get it ready! All 120 DOZEN of them!!

Farm-to-School Goodness: Sweet, crisp, and packed with local pride to power our kids through their school day.

Did you know our School Nutrition Professionals complete annual continuing education and training? Their commitment goes far beyond preparing nutritious meals—they work hard to ensure our cafeterias are safe, welcoming, and ready to serve students every day.

🍳 Production Cook: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
🥗 School Nutrition Workers: Flexible 3–4 hour shifts between 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Today’s lunch features a special treat: fresh broccolini straight from our friends at Turnip Rock Farm!

We are so excited to partner with Turnip Rock Farm for our Summer Feeding Program this year. Thanks to their incredible hard work, we’ve been able to serve incredible, farm-fresh local produce—including crisp cucumbers, summer zucchini, and today’s featured favorite, broccolini!

Supporting local farms means serving our kids the freshest, most nutritious meals possible while giving back to our amazing community.
