It’s summer – but that doesn’t mean GCOM is on vacation!
Face front, true believers! GCOM was proud to host comic-book production sessions for UW-Stout Polytechnic’s STEAM Summer Camp group Comics Studio: From Idea to Print. In coordination with the School of Art and Design’s Ben Hinz, the June events saw groups of middle- and high-school artists create comics from start to finish: developing a story, illustrating a comic book page, digitally scanning their original art, editing colors for output, and ultimately printing, binding, and trimming their finished books to size.
A super-big thanks goes out to GCOM heroes Dan Hendrickson and Chad Nyseth for collaborating to make the camps possible, and to each visiting camper who got hands-on in true UW-Stout Polytechnic fashion to create their personal comic anthologies! Excelsior!
