2025 WIAA Girls Golf Regional Recap

For the first time in school history the Oconomowoc girls took the Regional Championship title shooting a 327!! Along with 4 PRs and 4 girls finishing in the top 15!! Way to go Girls!

Congrats to Maria for shooting a 79 and taking 6th place!! And for making a new PR

Congrats to Laci for shooting an 80 and taking 7th place!! And for making a new PR

Congrats to Molly for shooting an 81 and tying for 8th place!! And for making a new PR

Congrats to Reese for shooting a 87 and tying for 14th place!!
And for making a new PR

WIAA Sectionals at the Broadlands will be next Wednesday October 8th

Shout out to 2016 Alum George Kneiser for making it through US Open sectional qualifying for this year's US Open held at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa. on June 12 - 15, 2025.

George was a 3-year letter winner for the Raccoons and qualified his senior year for the 2016 WIAA State Tournament.

Your Boys Golf Team is STATE BOUND for the first time since 2006!

The boys posted a 300 (+12) today at the Oregon Sectional!
JP was the medalist (won 2-hole playoff) at 70 (2 under par)
Aiden 76
Drew and Matt 77 each
Jack 81

The boys will play at University Ridge next Monday and Tuesday at the WIAA State Tournament!

More information about tee times and tickets for the state tournament will be posted later in the week!

Celebrating our 2025 Boys Golf Team
The boys clinched the 31st conference title in school history and the 1st since joining the Classic 8. This is the first conference title since the 2017 season.

Earning all-conference recognition:
Drew - Classic 8 Player of the Year! (36.5 conference scoring avg)
JP - 1st Team All Conference
Matt - 1st Team All Conference
Aiden - 1st Team All Conference
Jack - 2nd Team All Conference

The boys also won the WIAA Regional last week at Lake Windsor in DeForest for the 2nd straight year! They will be in action tomorrow at the WIAA Sectional hosted by Oregon at the Legend at Bergamont starting at 9am.

As we transition to the winter, here are some final end of season accolades for this year's team:

1. Oconomowoc was recognized as a Classic 8 Sportsmanship Award winner for this fall season (along with Arrowhead/Waukesha/CMH)

2. The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin recognized the following players as Academic All-State:
Aubrey Westerman
Emerson Ihde
Maria Jorgensen
Hayden Weber
Reese O'Driscoll

3. The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin also recognized Aubrey Westerman as an All-State Honorable Mention for Division 1. Congrats on this recognition Aubrey!

Throughout cold and windy conditions and a challenging course, Aubrey and Emerson completed 36 holes at the two day 2024 WIAA State Girls Golf Competition held at University Ridge Golf Course.

Aubrey finished with a 160 (80 & 80) for 11th place.

Emerson finished with a 185 (90 & 95) for 57th place.

The Road to the Ridge was a great way to end their senior year and celebrate all their hard work!!

Thank you to our amazing Varsity coaches, Coach Dahl and Coach Teske for supporting these girls along the way.

A special thanks to everyone who braved the blustery conditions to support these girls, especially their fellow teammates! 💛💜

It was a brisk fall day at University Ridge Golf Course for the 2024 WIAA Girls State Golf Championship. ⛳️🏌️‍♀️

Aubrey shot an 80 and is tied for 12th place after day one. Emerson shot a 90 and is tied for 49th place out of a field of 78 girls.

They had an amazing squad cheering them on today! 📣

The girls took 4th place at Sectionals today at Wanaki Golf Course. They did not qualify for the State Tournament as a team, but two of our players qualified as individuals!!

Congrats to Aubrey for taking 3rd place at Sectionals and qualifying for State with a 79. 👏

A huge shout out to Emerson for finishing in 5th place with a PR of 80 and winning the 3rd individual State qualifier in a 3 way play off! Congrats! 👏
