Welcome to Karen's Kampus! Are you looking for an in home daycare that provides an environment where your child can feel safe, loved, and at home while also learning, playing, and having fun with other children of various ages? Well you have come to the right place! My name is Karen and I have been working with children in various environments for over 15 years. Through my experiences in daycares,

school classrooms, and families homes I have witnessed the gaps between these three very important parts of a child's life. It is my mission to bridge these gaps and create an environment where your child has the structure of a daycare, the learning opportunities of a classroom, and the love and security of a home. All while continually communicating with their most important caregiver, YOU, their parent! I am a small in home daycare, taking care of no more than four children at one time. This helps to ensure one-on-one interactions with me while also allowing your child social interactions with other children. I provide lesson plans (for all ages), minute to minute communication with parents via Brightwheel, flat fee rates, and nutritious snacks throughout the day. My hours are 7am to 5pm. We didn’t let the rain stop us from exploring soil today, we just brought it inside! We pretended to be gardeners and planted vegetables and even tasted some new ones! We picked and sorted seeds, made a nature collage, wrote our names in mud, and created a compost we will be keeping our eyes on all month.

Differentiated learning/instruction

5 year old: completing book independently writing and coloring using my completed book as a guide for lowercase letter formation because she has already perfected uppercase letters

3 year old: tracing words in book and coloring according to words on page that I read to her (green frog, purple cat...etc)

2 year old: (not pictured) coloring pictures according to words on page that I read to her, I pointed out the letters on the page to her and she drew markings over top of them

1 year old: scribbling with appropriate color that I handed to him and had him repeat the color of, then 5 year old modeling coloring and writing on his book and reading to him.

As a group we read the books together. First I read it, then I read it and they repeated it page by page, then we read it all together 💕

I love seeing their growth at each age!
