By now most have heard that our beloved principal, Dan Paul, resigned this week. Also, 2 school board members resigned and 4 board members refused to resign but have been replaced regardless. It's important that the parishioners and MCC families know why this all happened but it's equally important that none of us remove our students from MCC. We owe it to Dan Paul to stay. He worked tirelessly to increase our enrollment from 66 to 101 in his 4 yr tenure. He brought us track, cross country and snow shoeing. He reached out to the community, home-schooled families and other faiths like no Admin before him ever has. He raised thousands for his tuition angels to help those who couldn't otherwise afford to send their children to MCC. He knew every child's name and treated everyone with respect and genuine compassion. We must all stay because we owe it to our amazing staff whose dedication to, and love of, the students shows every single day. They work for far less than they would earn in the public schools and have far more responsibilities than their public school counterparts. We owe this to all the parishioners and other benefactors who've supported us all these years. Our school has been around since 1900 and has suffered many set backs but with everyone's help, we'll survive this one too.
