Wood Shop at MPK

Hey there Shop citizens! Class sign-up, information, and Q&A for the Woodshop at MPK has migrated to an internal group as of TODAY, Monday June 4! Look for the new internal group Woodshop at MPK, as this page will be deactivated this afternoon. As always, if you have questions, feel free to stop by and visit us in Building 12.

Join us next Tuesday 4/17 for our last drink carrier class! (for a while at least...) You'll get to make a nice tote to carry your collection of craft beers *and* get some tips on how to pattern route and make floating tenon joints!

This coming Tuesday: Build a Cajon (Box Drum)!

We've got a great new class coming up on March 6: Build a Cajon! The cajon is a box hand drum which can be played as a percussion instrument in small acoustic bands and venues. It originated in Peru, hence its Spanish name which means “crate. Tap the "book now" button to see the class schedule and sign up for Shop Safety if you haven't had it yet, and check out Build a Cajon on March 6 from 4-7 pm.

Winter cleaning during our holiday closures! Great new for the Shop moving forward, but we need your help by removing all items stored from woodshop storage - including the vertical rack :)

Join us at 12:30pm this coming Tuesday, December 5th, for a free demo on how to set up and use a block plane! Block planes are wonderful tools for fixing and finessing. If you've tried to use block planes but haven't gotten results you expected come by with your questions, and we'll talk shop!
