Did you know? Creating an OC (Original Character) isn’t just something students love to do with friends in the Community. It’s a powerful way to bring writing lessons to life! 📖🎭 From practicing descriptive language to building strong narratives, students explore key skills like plot, perspective, and character development along the way.

Want to try it out? Start simple:
Pick a name, decide their personality (brave, shy, funny?), and imagine their world. What do they love? What challenges do they face? From there, learners can use their creativity to write a short scene, draw their character, or create a mini backstory.

From April 19–25, we’ll be celebrating all things nature, sustainability, and caring for the world around us, with Earth Day on April 22nd right in the middle of the week! Here are just a few suggestions for how your learner can get involved:

🦝 Dress in camouflage or as an animal lover like Steve Irwin
