Thank you to everyone who donated food this past week for our food drive! We were able to send 4 big boxes packed with food to the South Palo Alto Food Closet today! Huge shoutout to our Big Buddies for packing the boxes and packing the delivery car! Another shout out to our Oasis students for organizing the food items for us in advance.

This fall, the OMS Big Buddies Program is participating in a community service project, and they need your help!
They are organizing a food drive for the South Palo Alto Food Closet, starting tomorrow! They will be collecting from Nov. 8th until Nov. 14th at 12:30pm.
It would be wonderful to get our community to contribute as much as we can. Below there are more details on the Food Closet's Wish List for the upcoming holiday season.
There will be a bin set up outside the school's main door for anyone to come and drop food items off.

7 days until the OMS Scholastic Book Fair! Please come by our school next week to buy the newest books for your child! You will also have the chance to support a teacher’s classroom wishlist. The tabletop book fair will be open Monday, February 21st from 9am-5pm, and February 22nd-25th from 1-5pm.
We would love to have some volunteers to help us out during the week, see the homepage to sign up!

Thank you to Animal Assisted Happiness for letting us pet the animals today. Those guinea pigs were adore!

MEET THE STAFF: Marcel, our Director of Fitness, has worked with OMS since 2016. He has a passion for fitness and “getting strong in weird ways,” which includes teaching a zombie apocalypse survival course. Outside of the gym you can find Marcel playing guitar and making up songs about his kids.

MEET THE STAFF: Alexandra has been actively involved with Open Mind programs since December 2018. This month she takes the lead as the Afterschool Program Director.
She previously worked as a Behavior Intervention Dean in a local charter school and works in-homes, schools, and community settings with the youth of all ages. Outside of work she enjoys kickboxing, camping, going to local festivals and exploring new spots to eat.
