Plates don’t have to look the same to be successful.
Some plates have many foods.
Some plates have just one.
Some are colorful.
Some are all the same color.
Some have sprinkles… and sometimes more sprinkles than cookie!
At our table, there is no “right” way for a plate to look.
Children learn to trust food—and themselves—when they feel safe making choices.
When we allow flexibility, curiosity grows.
When pressure decreases, confidence increases.
Whatever your child’s plate looks like…
it belongs at the table.

Trust makes room for partnership

A parent once told us:
“If they enjoy my child, I’ll trust them.”
That changed everything for us.
Families do not only notice your credentials.
They notice your presence.
Your energy.
Your comfort.
Your connection.
Sometimes trust begins there.

In this conversation, we introduce a three-question diagnostic tool designed to uncover family dynamics and build stronger therapeutic partnerships:
1️⃣ Describe your child in three words.
2️⃣ Summarize the challenge in one sentence.
3️⃣ Imagine the “graduation” moment — what does success look like?
These simple questions surface hope, reveal capacity, and clarify expectations — helping clinicians move beyond a child-only focus toward sustainable, family-centered progress.
Because real change does not happen in a 45-minute session.
It happens at home.
And when parents are seen, heard, and partnered with intentionally, outcomes improve — and so does the clinician’s experience of the work.
Watch the full conversation to explore how strengthening parent partnership can transform both therapy and long-term results.
The Unseen Client
