Our Hawaiian tuxedo boys are all dressed up and so ready for adoption! Yes, they are a little older kittens, but they were born on March 17 so they also have the luck of the Irish in their blood. They are hoping that some lucky family will look past the fact that they are over 4mo and bring them into their loving home.

Please share with anybody you know that might be looking to adopt. They are playful, love their foster dad and would love to be a part of a permanent family!

🐾 Single Kitten Syndrome: It’s a Real Thing! 🐾

Have you ever wondered why so many rescues encourage adopting two kittens instead of one? It’s not because we’re trying to place more kittens—it’s because we want them to thrive.

When kittens grow up without another kitten to play and learn with, they can develop what’s commonly called Single Kitten Syndrome. While not an official medical diagnosis, it’s a term used to describe behaviors that can develop when a young kitten misses out on important socialization with another kitten.

A single kitten may be more likely to:
🐱 Play too rough by biting or scratching
🐱 Become bored or destructive
🐱 Develop anxiety or loneliness
🐱 Have trouble learning appropriate social behaviors
🐱 Demand constant attention from their humans

A fellow kitten teaches lessons that people simply can’t—like bite inhibition, reading body language, taking turns, and burning off endless kitten energy!

💛 The good news? Kittens adopted together often:
✨ Adjust to their new home more easily
✨ Keep each other entertained
✨ Learn healthy social skills
✨ Are less likely to develop unwanted behaviors
✨ Form an adorable lifelong friendship

Of course, there are exceptions. Some kittens do perfectly well on their own, especially if they have another young, playful pet at home or receive lots of enrichment and interaction. Every kitten is unique!

When we recommend adopting a pair, it’s isn’t because we’re trying to adopt out “more cats.” It’s because we truly want the best outcome for both the kittens and their new families. Happier kittens often mean happier adopters. 🐾❤️

We could really, really, REALLY use some additional foster homes right now.

Ask yourself:

1) If you could find room in your heart and home for some temporary, REALLY FUN, furry foster babies.

2) If you know of someone else in your neighborhood, place of work, or social group who could offer help with these kittens.

3) If you or someone you know is ready to lend a hand and a home to these youngsters. If so, please MESSAGE to this page or email [email protected]
