Our students may be learning in two different schools right now because of the tornado damage, but our Gegan community is still one family — and we’re committed to keeping our kids connected throughout the entire school year.

We’ll continue hosting fundraisers and family events to bring everyone together, support our teachers, and keep that Gegan spirit strong.

To help us reach all families, please share our page so no one misses updates, events, or opportunities to get involved. The more we stay connected, the stronger our community becomes.

We’re already brainstorming fun meet‑ups — Skaters Edge and Funset Boulevard are on our list — and we’d love to hear your ideas too. Drop suggestions, locations, or themes you think the kids would enjoy.

Together, we’ll make sure our students feel supported, connected, and proud to be part of Gegan.

Our community has weathered a truly difficult week. The tornado that swept through our city brought unexpected challenges — power outages, fallen trees, damaged homes, and plenty of shaken nerves. But even in the middle of all that uncertainty, one thing has been unmistakably clear: the strength of our community.

Over the past few days, we’ve seen neighbors checking on neighbors, parents sharing generators and meals, kids helping clear branches, and teachers reaching out to make sure every student feels safe and supported.
Thank you for your resilience, your kindness, and the way you lift each other up. Our community is strong because you make it strong.

Gegan Families — We’re kicking off a brand‑new school year!

Join us for our first PTO meeting of the year on August 24th at 5:30 PM at the Gegan playground. Kids are always welcome — bring them along to play while we connect, plan, and dream up another great year together!

We’ll be finalizing a few upcoming events and setting our monthly meeting schedule. Whether you’re curious, excited, or just dipping a toe in, we’d love to have you. You can volunteer as much or as little as your schedule allows — most events only need an hour or so of help to run smoothly.
