New York State PTA is holding a contest to
call attention to the importance of reading
for your health and wellness!

We challenge your Elementary and Middle School Aged Children (Pre-K to 8th Grade) to create a video, poster, or essay on the topic of “Why is reading important for your health & wellness?”

We will feature ALL submissions in some manner, so please submit your best ideas!

We will also have a special artist category, for students whose physical, cognitive or mental health challenges meet the guidelines in the American Disabilities Act.

Requirements:
Elementary and Middle School Aged Children (Pre-K to 8th Grade)

Prizes:
The Grand Prize Winner will receive a $100 Barnes and Noble gift card.

Ten (10) Student winners will receive a Barnes and Noble gift card provided by NYS PTA in the amount of $50.00.

Winners will be invited to our Literacy Banquet on Friday, November 13, 2026, at the NYS PTA Convention in Saratoga Springs.

This weekend, PTA Board Members James Erickson and Jennifer Vorobjev attended the NYS PTA Summer Leadership Conference!

We had the opportunity to connect with PTA leaders from across New York State, meet with incredible vendors, and participate in a variety of informative workshops. Every summer, this conference gives us the chance to learn, collaborate, and bring back new ideas to better serve our school community. We're excited to put what we learned into action during the upcoming school year!

📣 Join Us for Our Final PTA Meeting of the 2025-2026 School Year! 📣

We hope you'll join us on Wednesday, June 3rd at 6:30 PM in the school library for our final PTA meeting of the year.
