MENA MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

We have a new reading challenge that will take place until December. Come to the library for a challenge sheet if you would like to participate.

Yearbooks are now on sale for $40. You can purchase yours by bringing cash or check to Mrs. Billings, or by ordering online at jostens.com.

Morphology's root word for the week is "spect" and it means to look. Our word at middle school is spectator

SAVE THE DATE!!! Friday night is our first dance of the year. Admission is $5 and we will have a concession stand with pizza and snacks. The theme is Back to School Spirit Dance. 6th grade wear white 7th grade wear red 8th grade wear black. Look for flyers around the school for more information or your parents can check it out on Mena Public Schools page. Email Mrs. Rose if you have a song request. Let her know the name of the song and the artist. Per Mrs. Warner dress code does apply to dances. 8th grade you will need to be picked up in the bus loop, 6th and 7th grade you will be picked up in the car rider line.

Students remember your back backs will need to remain in the hallway during lunch. If you have a lunch box you may place them in the cubbies after you eat. At no time should students be in the halls during lunch.

I know this week has been a rough one, and we are all still trying to get back into the swing of things. I just want you to know how proud I am of you for coming back, pushing through, and giving it your best. Next week will be better! Take some time this weekend to rest, recharge, and take care of yourselves. You’ve earned it!
