MEETING IS TOMORROW!!!

We're offering a travel opportunity for MHS students next summer to Washington, DC and New York City. Anyone who is interested in coming is invited to an informational meeting on August 27th. If we have at least 50 RSVPs for the meeting EF will have a drawing for a $500 trip scholarship to help with the price of the trip.

Wednesday — Prepared Means Ready to Work

Here's today's PRIDE challenge: How quickly can you get started? When you enter class, get what you need, check the board, and be ready to go. Those few minutes matter. Prepared Bearcats don't wait for someone else to get them started — they take ownership of their time.

There will be an NHS meeting for senior returning members only on Friday during PRIDE in Mrs. Singleton’s room 215.

Juniors and Seniors- Invitations to apply for NHS induction have been sent out by Mrs. Singleton. Check your Google Classroom for an invitation to join the NHS Invitees Classroom. The application is a Google Form that you fill out online. You must have your application filled out by September 11th to be considered for induction.

There will be a TSA Meeting in Mrs. Titsworth’s room on Friday during Junior/Senior PRIDE. Anyone who is interested in joining is encouraged to attend!

Anyone interested in joining FBLA this year can bring your $20 for dues to Mrs. Torix, Mrs. Powell or to the meeting next week.

Mena golf travelled to Waldron on Tuesday. They played Paris, Booneville, and Waldron. Bearcat boys won the match. Richie Davis and Marcus Graves tied for medalist at 2 under par. Josh Farringer placed 3rd overall. The Ladycats had a great showing as well. Chandler Dover won medalist and Kinsey Mullen got 4th overall. Boys that represented Mena: Richie Davis, Marcus Graves, Talen West, Josh Farringer, Gabe Elizalde, Peyton Tidwell, Wesley Warren, and Max Zavala. Mena golf heads to DeGray on Thursday.

The Mena Ladycat volleyball team lost their season opener on Tuesday. Greenwood won 3 sets to 0. Mena is back in action on Thursday at Lake Hamilton.
