This week’s morphology root is PORT, meaning “carry.”
Our MHS word is importation, the act of bringing—or carrying—goods into a country or place.
Think about transport, portable, import, export, report, porter, and portfolio. The idea of carrying something is tucked inside many of them.
Bearcat Word Detective Challenge: Find another word containing PORT and explain what is being “carried.”

Andrew is a Senior, Cornerback / Wide Receiver, for the Bearcats and is the son of Amanda and Eric Jakobitz, and Andy Threlkeld.
