Ouachita Theological Training Instituted ~ Spring 2022
We live in days of great challenge, danger, and opportunity. The Gospel of Jesus Christ still works, but false gospels abound. The greatest and most important job on the planet continues to be “making disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ” which includes teaching people of every family and nation to “observe (obey) all that Jesus commanded”.
James 3:1 is not given to discourage believers from teaching but rather is for simply placing the proper emphasis on teaching correctly, Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment. We are commanded not only to teach but to teach properly. Paul addresses this great accountability as well in 2 Timothy 2:15, Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. If you are a Christian, God has called you to teach people to obey all that Jesus commanded. You will not want to stand in front of Jesus ashamed because of your neglect to seek out training and study. Christ is worthy of your best efforts. Christ is worthy of the proper worship of your family members, your enemies, your acquaintances, and strangers. You have been called to teach them.
Ouachita Theological Training Institute exists to train people to “accurately handle the Word of Truth”. If you have never taken one of our classes, the spring semester of 2022 will be an excellent time to start. New Testament Theology is an excellent overview that will benefit you in every sermon you prepare, every Sunday School lesson you teach, every evangelistic encounter you have, and in your daily effort to “walk in a manner worthy of your calling”.
OTTI classes are very affordable, and scholarships are available to active members of OBA churches. OTTI classes are designed for student success. No student, who has attended every class, read the assignments, and paid attention has ever failed any of our classes. Any class can be taken either on a “for credit basis” or simply “for personal growth”. You can absolutely do this!
