Attention all school teachers, preschool teachers and homeschool parents!!! I will be at the daycare this evening from 5-7 and I have lots of teachers resource materials, bulletin board items, curriculum etc for free to you! Be sure to share or tag with all your teacher friends!!

💛 Today marks a very sad day for Sunshine House Daycare, as today is our final day of operation.

If my dates are correct, Sunshine House has been serving families in our community in some form for **49 years**. It all began with my Aunt, **Lillie Mae Hicks**, who was the original owner. I have been honored to carry on her legacy for the past **16 years** and to have followed two other wonderful ladies Mrs. Diana Hicks and Mrs. Carla Broussard who also owned the daycare throughout the years.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every parent who trusted us with the care, safety, and education of your children. It has truly been a privilege to watch so many little ones grow, learn, and prepare for the next chapter of their lives. I only wish I knew exactly how many children have walked through the doors over the past 49 years—it would be an incredible number and a testament to the impact Sunshine House has had on our community.

To all of the amazing employees who have been part of Sunshine House throughout the years, **thank you**. Your love, dedication, patience, and hard work made Sunshine House the special place it was. Without each of you, none of this would have been possible.

While this chapter is coming to an end, the memories, friendships, laughter, and countless little smiles will stay with me forever. Sunshine House wasn't just a daycare—it was a family, and I will always be grateful to have been a part of its story.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who helped make Sunshine House what it was for nearly five decades. I will cherish the memories and the relationships we've built for the rest of my life. ❤️
