Better late than never! 🎂✨

We want to send a huge belated Happy Birthday to our amazing Executive Director LaTonya Mouzon!!!

She’s always working hard behind the scenes to expand our reach and serve more students, and this photo captures her in action—recording the intro for our brand-new series of training videos! These videos will allow communities outside of Memphis, outside of Tennessee, and even outside of the United States to bring ARISE2Read to their local schools.

Thank you for your vision, your heart for children, and your tireless leadership. We hope you had a wonderful birthday celebrating YOU! Leave some birthday love for her in the comments below! 👇🎉

ARISE2Read is in full prep mode, and we are LOVING it!

Last week, we gathered all of our incredible Head Coaches for lunch to dream, plan, and discuss the upcoming school year. One & Only BBQ brought the food and it’s safe to say no one left hungry! 🍖😋

Yesterday, our team took an important step together as our staff attended a Stewards of Children workshop, focusing on how to identify, prevent, and put a stop to child sexual abuse. Keeping our students safe in every environment will always be our highest priority. A HUGE thanks to the Memphis Child Advocacy Center for an amazing presentation, and to our friends at Pinnacle Financial Partners- thanks for providing a space to meet!

And finally, our office was buzzing this morning! Several of our Bible Club volunteers dropped by to prep worksheets, organize supplies, and gear up for another year of sharing the Gospel with students across our city.

It takes a whole community to make this happen, and we are so grateful for every single person standing with us as we kick off this new season! 📚✨
