What a week! 🎉

Our 2026 ARISE2Read Kickoff Event is officially in the books, and our hearts are overflowing. From an inspiring message by Josh Curtis to plenty of coffee, cake, and conversation, it was the perfect way to start the school year together.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to Bellevue Baptist Church Tuesday morning! Whether you’re a returning coach or joining us for the very first time, you are the reason our second graders get to experience the joy of reading!

If you weren’t able to make it to the Kickoff training, don't worry—we still have a few more training opportunities coming up to get you fully equipped to make a major impact.

We’ve got you covered on both fronts! At our Kickoff Event on Tuesday, August 25, we will have fresh coffee, delicious apple cake and orange cake ready for you. Come for the inspiration, stay for the treats, and leave fully prepared to make a difference in a second grader's life.

We had a great time at the New Memphis Leadership Summit at the University of Memphis yesterday! 💡✨

It was an incredible opportunity to connect with passionate local leaders, share the mission of ARISE2Read, and explore new ways to strengthen our community together.

A big thank you to New Memphis for hosting such an inspiring event and for all they do to support non-profits in our city. We’re excited for what’s ahead! 💙

As our schools finish up their very first week of school, summer is officially over and a brand-new school year is officially underway! We are so excited for all of our partner schools as we jump into another impactful year of helping students build literacy skills and confidence.

What an incredible end to week one! 🎉

ARISE2Read is thrilled to help celebrate the teachers and staff at Hanley Elementary today with a special lunch drop-off from Panera Bread.

While we haven't officially started coaching in the schools just yet, we are so excited for all of our partner schools as they wrap up their very first week of the year. Only 175 days to go! 🍎📚

A huge thank you to Principal Zonja M. Glover for her support of ARISE2Read. We are so honored to be a part of blessing Hanley, but none of this would be possible without Second Presbyterian Church- Hanley’s financial adopter. Their generosity, prayer, and support make these extra “happys” possible! 💙
