🕊️❤️ ONCE A PHOENIX, ALWAYS A PHOENIX. 🕊️

It is with heavy hearts that we remember and honor the life of Katron Walker, #12.

Although Katron’s journey had taken him beyond the halls of MASE, he will forever remain a part of our Phoenix Family.

Katron was part of a historic chapter in MASE Athletics, helping bring home our program’s first-ever TSSAA State Football Championship in 2024. His contributions to our school and football program will forever be part of our story.

We extend our deepest condolences to Katron’s family, friends, former teammates, coaches, and everyone whose life he touched.

Some bonds extend beyond the classroom. Some legacies extend beyond the field. And some people will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Rest peacefully, Katron. Your legacy will always be part of ours. ❤️🕊️

#12 Forever. Once a Phoenix, Always a Phoenix.

A special thank you to Fire Director Chief Colin Burress for taking time to pour into the young men of our Phoenix Society! 🔥🚒

His powerful words of encouragement about overcoming obstacles, remaining focused, and pursuing goals served as a reminder to our scholars that their circumstances do not determine their future!

We also extend our appreciation to Dr. T. Richmond, Coach C.J., and Coach Carlos for their leadership and for welcoming Chief Burress to MASE.

At MASE, we’re not just developing scholars—we’re developing future leaders! 💪🏽

🍕🎉 ATTENDANCE MATTERS, AND AT MASE, WE REWARD EXCELLENCE! 🎉🍕

Showing up makes a difference, and today we celebrated the scholars who are leading the way!

Congratulations to our 6th and 9th Grade scholars for earning the HIGHEST ATTENDANCE RATES last month! 🏆👏🏾

To recognize their commitment to showing up, staying engaged, and making every school day count, we treated both grade levels to a well-deserved PIZZA PARTY! 🍕❤️
At MASE, we believe that consistent attendance is the foundation for academic success. Every day in the classroom is another opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve greatness!
Who’s taking the attendance crown next month?

Keep showing up, Phoenix! Because at MASE, Best Is The Standard!

📚 It’s Benchmark Week at MASE! 📚

MASE Families, our scholars will complete their 1st Benchmark Assessments October 5–8. These assessments are an important opportunity for our scholars to demonstrate what they’ve learned while helping our teachers identify areas of strength and opportunities for continued growth.

⏰ Families, please help us set our scholars up for success! Make sure students arrive on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best each day. Scholars will follow the adjusted benchmark schedule shown on the graphic throughout the week.

This isn’t just about a test—it’s about measuring progress, identifying next steps, and continuing our pursuit of excellence.

Show up. Lock in. Do your BEST. 💪🏾📖

Our hearts go out to the entire Memphis Business Academy family on the loss of their Athletic Director, Coach Jerry Anthony.

We may represent two different schools, but we are still one family. During times like these, school colors and rivalries are put aside as we stand together in love and support.

The entire MASE family is praying for Coach Anthony’s family, the MBA leadership, scholars, coaches, staff, student-athletes, and the entire MBA community. May God provide strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time.

🏈📣 GAME DAY AT MASE — WHERE PHOENIX PRIDE MEETS PHOENIX HOSPITALITY!

At MASE, competition happens on the field, but sportsmanship goes beyond the scoreboard. One of our favorite game-day traditions is led by the MASE Varsity Cheer Team, who make sure every visiting cheer squad feels welcomed when they arrive for a home football game.

Before the cheers get loud and the competition begins, our cheerleaders welcome the visiting squad and present each cheerleader with a special goodie bag as a gesture of hospitality, respect, and sportsmanship. ❤️🤍🖤

Whether we’re cheering for the Phoenix or welcoming our guests, we’re teaching our scholars that how you represent your school matters. That’s the MASE way.

📣 We compete with pride. We welcome with class. We represent MASE with excellence.

Because on the field, in the stands, and in everything we do — Best Is The Standard!

See you tonight…

🌎❤️ AT MASE, BELONGING MATTERS.

At Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, we believe a strong school community is one where every scholar feels seen, valued, celebrated, and connected. That’s why creating opportunities to recognize the cultures, traditions, and experiences represented throughout our MASE Family is so important to us.

This week, we had the opportunity to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Week—a time filled with culture, learning, pride, and appreciation for the rich contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. 🇲🇽🇵🇷🇨🇴🇩🇴🇬🇹

For us, celebrating culture is about more than a special week on the calendar. It’s about creating a school where our differences strengthen our community and every scholar knows: there is a place for you here. You belong at MASE.

Different cultures. Different experiences. One MASE Family. ❤️🖤💛

One School. One Family. One Future.
