It is the vision of Bruce Elementary School to prepare all students to become lifelong learners, creative thinkers and productive citizens. In pursuit of the vision, Bruce Elementary School is committed to the following:

-Provide students the opportunity to operate, learn about, and utilize new technology to enhance their learning outlets and prepare them for an ever-changing world.
-Maintaining high expectations and standards for all students.
-Recognizing that all learners are different.
-Participating in regular professional development opportunities that reflect on successful teaching practices.
-Teaching students to become responsible, compassionate, and contributing citizens.
-Assessing, monitoring, and diversifying current teaching practices and assessment tools to equalize and make more efficient the learning process.

901 Day owes our bulldogs NOTHING! We had a super busy bulldog day! Our scholars came in showing their Memphis pride in their 901 gear. We had the Bellevue Middle School students read to our scholars (many of them are forever bulldogs who attended Bruce). It was the kickoff of Bulldogs Think Like a Scientist Tuesday. Then the scholars finished the day with Frios pops!

Busy week at Bruce! Bulldog scholars were introduced to their data books via TEAMS with Principal Foster & learned they are CEOs of their learning, behavior, & attendance; teachers received customized development to enhance instruction for our scholars; the Writing is My Superpower scholars who turned in exemplary writing essays were celebrated for their awesome work with a popcorn party; & 5th grade students learn about the D.A.R.E. program.

Our Bulldog scholars are well on their way with building & improving their writing skills!

A huge Bruce Bulldog shout-out to Ms. Salls for leading our school wide monthly “Writing Is Our Superpower” event! Her creativity and leadership inspired our students to use their words, share their ideas, and discover the power of writing.

Thank you, Ms. Salls, for helping our young writers unleash their superpowers!!

We are off to a great Bulldog strong year! From inservice preparing for our scholars, to teaching the expectations for the school year, to meeting our parents at our parent orientation, to our very own Principal Foster receiving PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR for the awesome work from the 2025-26 school year!
