Creativity, sustainability, and confidence were all on display at our Sustainable Living Project Runway Event! ♻️✨👗

Our talented students wowed the audience as they modeled incredible creations designed from recycled and reusable materials. From newspapers and plastic bags to cardboard and other repurposed items, our scholars turned everyday materials into runway-ready masterpieces!

This event not only highlighted student creativity and innovation, but also promoted the importance of environmental awareness and sustainable living practices.

A huge congratulations to all of our participants for their hard work and imagination, and an extra special shoutout to our 1st Place Winner, Da'miya Wesley, who received a monetary prize for her outstanding design! 🏆💵

An amazing time was had celebrating our student-athletes at this year’s Basketball Banquet! 🏀💙💛

The night was all about recognizing the hard work, dedication, sportsmanship, and growth shown by our basketball players throughout the season. From exciting wins to unforgettable memories, this team gave us so much to be proud of!

Thank you to our coaches, families, supporters, and everyone who helped make this season and banquet a success. We are proud of each and every player for representing Delano Optional School with excellence both on and off the court.

Recently we proudly hosted an incredible Career Day experience for our students! We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our amazing participants who took time to pour into our scholars, share their career journeys, and inspire the next generation of leaders, innovators, and dreamers.

From healthcare and education to business, public service, and beyond, our students were exposed to a variety of career paths and opportunities that encouraged them to think big about their futures.

This year was especially exciting because, for the FIRST time, we welcomed TWO student entrepreneurs as Career Day participants! Their presence showed our students that age does not limit success, creativity, or leadership. Seeing young business owners share their experiences was both motivating and empowering for everyone in attendance.

Thank you again to all of our presenters and supporters for helping make Career Day a memorable and impactful event for our Delano family! 💙💛
