What a day at Cummings K-8! 📚

Our friends at Orion Financial came out to greet our Goal Card scholars as we kicked off our Pennies-A-Day initiative for the new school year!

Students received their brand new piggy banks to kick off a year of saving, plus their very own copy of “Ella the Banker” to help build financial confidence one page at a time.

Big or small, every penny saved is a step toward a brighter future. We're so grateful for partners like Orion Financial who believe in investing in our students!

We're excited to welcome Orion Financial as an official partner of our Goal Card program's Pennies-A-Day initiative! 🐷💰

Orion Financial is providing free piggy banks and hands-on workshops for students and teachers, plus matching what students save with a special incentive for the classroom that saves the most by year's end.

RISE Memphis is so excited to present Ella The Banker (Official) to our elementary scholars this year! Special thanks to Shamim Okolloh for traveling from Little Rock, Arkansas to introduce the book to our Cummings Eagles this week! 🤓

All students in grades 3-5 at Cummings K-8 will receive a copy of the book along with the lesson plan to help build fluency, comprehension, phonemic awareness, and financial concepts. 🪙

Books in hand, minds inspired! What a wonderful way to spend the day with our Goal Card scholars. 📚
