We’re thrilled to share this exciting news! The Saralynn Sea Angel Foundation has awarded Easy Divers Divemaster Melissa Angus a scholarship to pursue her PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certification.

Melissa re-certified with Easy Divers in 2011. She earned her PADI Divemaster certification in 2021. Many of you know Melissa—either from the pool, trips, or the shop. She may have been your dive buddy! Melissa has assisted every Easy Divers instructor in the different training courses.

Melissa will begin her Instructor Development Course at Easy Divers in October.

Join us in congratulating her on this honor! 🎉🌟

Check out this marine biologist's top 10 fav nudibranchs. A lot of them are found in the Coral Triangle---The Philippines and Indonesia. And we're going to both places! Philippines in January and Indonesia in 2027.

How many have you seen?

Some of the most popular nudibranchs are rare but Spanish dancer, nembrotha and chomodoris are easier to find and fascinating

Statia's dive site, The Humps, is not named for "hump day". The site is named for the volcanic bombs scattered on the sandy sea floor. The bombs are from the island's Quill volacano. Take your time on this shallow dive looking for bennies, dobies and other macro critters!

Bluegill, bream, brim, sunfish, panfish--and that's just a few of the names for the freshwater fish we frequently see in our quarries and lakes. We can see their round "beds" where they spawn on the bottom. Male bluegills will get more colorful during spawning season. They've been known to nibble on a diver's ears if you get too close! 🐟🐟🤿
