Last week, our Chick-fil-A friends surprised two of our second-grade classes with a special “Surprise & Delight” visit.

The Chick-fil-A Cow and friends spread acts of kindness throughout the community, delivering special gifts and surprises to local businesses—and NHCA was one of their stops!

We are so grateful for our community partnership with the Chick-fil-A team on Austin Peay and for the kindness and generosity they showed at New Hope. Thank you for making our second graders’ day extra special! 💜

Tonight, we welcomed our middle school families for Middle School Night! Families had the opportunity to get to know their scholars’ teachers, walk through their child’s schedule, and learn about the exciting things ahead, including field trips, Student Council, theater auditions and more!

We’re excited to have our teachers share what’s happening in their classes and all that’s coming up at NHCA! We’re looking forward to an amazing year!

𝑾𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑨𝒍𝒖𝒎𝒏𝒊: Wonder who helped keep our Urban Farm & Forest spaces looking beautiful, assisted our horticulturist and farm and forest education specialist at the weekly Pay-What-You-Can Produce Stand, and helped our operations team with various building projects around campus?

We want to give a shoutout to the alumni who assisted us over the summer! A big thank you to our NHCA Class of ’23 graduates KB Harris and Cohen Oliver, along with AJ Edwards ’22, Janiyah Cooper ’21, Cameron Jones ’18, Cameron Earnest ’19 and Trenton Williams ’21, who chose to build an arbor at the entrance to the Urban Forest for his Eagle Scout project. The arbor will lead students and visitors down the newly named "Debbie Bennett Boulevard" into the forest.

Thank you to our alumni for always giving back and returning to their roots to serve! We appreciate you all! 💜

What a great first week of chapel! Early Childhood, Elementary, and Middle School scholars experienced their first chapel services of the school year, learning God’s Word, worshipping, and growing closer to our Lord and Savior!

Our Early Childhood scholars learned about taking a “Walk Through the Bible with Jesus!” Each week, they will discover the truths found in God’s Word and see how Jesus is with us, helping us grow to know, love, and follow Him.

In Elementary Chapel, scholars were introduced to the theme for the year: “What’s the Point?” Throughout the year, they will take a closer look at different truths, stories, and events found in Scripture and discover how they all point us to Jesus. The theme verse for the year is Romans 15:4, reminding us that the things written in Scripture are meant to teach, encourage, and give us hope.

Rounding out the week in Middle School Chapel, scholars were introduced to the theme for the year: “Truth or Not?” Throughout the year, scholars will examine some of the ideas and messages our world and culture tell us are true. They will learn to recognize those ideas, compare them with God’s Word, and discover what is true according to God’s Word.

What a blessed first day of school at NHCA!

We wrapped up an amazing first day by officially launching our middle school and welcoming back all of our students. We are so thankful to celebrate this exciting new chapter after reaching the milestone of our 30th year as an institution last school year.

As part of our New Hope, New Heights initiative, we introduced our middle school, and now seeing our sixth- and seventh-grade students as the first cohort is a powerful reminder of how far God has brought us. We can't wait to see all He has in store for this school year!

Our Pay What You Can Produce Stand will resume this Thursday to its regular hours from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. each Thursday unless otherwise announced.

Please note that the produce stand will begin promptly at 11 a.m. and will not open earlier. Produce will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
