October is National Principals Month, and we’re taking time to celebrate the dedicated leaders at New Hope Christian Academy who faithfully share the Gospel, champion our scholars and lead our school community each day.

Our principals do so much more than lead. They build meaningful relationships, support and encourage our faculty and staff, partner with families and help create a Christ-centered environment where our scholars can learn, grow and thrive.

Throughout this month, we celebrate and thank our school leaders for their commitment to our scholars, families and the mission of New Hope Christian Academy. Happy National Principals Month!

As part of our sixth - and seventh-grade elective offerings, S.E.R.V.E. (Soaring Eagles — Reach, Volunteer, Engage) challenges students to look beyond themselves and follow Christ’s example of serving others.

Recently, our S.E.R.V.E. team welcomed Emilie Pillow, director of development and communications at , who spoke with students about Service Over Self's (SOS) work serving the Memphis community and ways our scholars can get involved.

Through S.E.R.V.E., our middle schoolers are not only learning how to serve — they’re discovering why we serve and how they can put their faith into action through hands-on service projects benefiting NHCA, the local church and the greater Memphis community.

We’re excited to see how our Eagles will reach, volunteer and engage! 🦅

We were blessed to welcome Harding Academy’s A Ca****la Chorus to NHCA’s All School Chapel this morning!

The chorus was led by former NHCA alumna Andrea Campbell, Director of Vocal Performance and Shows at Harding Academy Memphis. We were also excited to welcome other former NHCA students who are now members of the A Ca****la Chorus.

The Word was brought forth by former NHCA student Londyn Harper, who shared an encouraging message, “You got this!” with scripture references from Matthew 6:25-34 and Philippians 4:6-7 to remind us to not be anxious about anything, but to trust God to provide and care for our needs.

We are grateful for our school partners and the NHCA alumni who continue to return to the place where their journey began. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle! 💜

This week, we are highlighting our Farm & Forest! Our second-grade scholars began their unit on Early Asian Civilizations, where they learned how the Indus River's flooding created fertile soil to support plant growth.

Scholars took a hands-on trip to compare soil types across the farm and forest, guided by Farm & Forest Education Specialist, Farmer Kizzee. Second-graders examined and touched soil samples to make real-world observations comparing the different types of soil.

25 years later, we remember...that tragic day on September 11, 2001.

Coach Thomas Teed shared with his sixth-grade students where he was on 9/11 and reflected on his memories of that day. The history lesson continued with a documentary, followed by a question and answer session that helped students better understand a day our nation will never forget.
