We also have three Parent/Guardian Orientation Sessions. Attend one of the sessions to learn about the school's policies, procedures, and programming. A flyer is attached if you need more information about the times for the orientation sessions.

Cummings K-8 Optional School is excited to welcome Coach Christopher Lacy as our new Head Football Coach!

Coach Lacy brings a passion for developing student-athletes, building character, and fostering a culture of excellence both on and off the field. His commitment to discipline, teamwork, leadership, and academic success aligns perfectly with our mission of preparing students to soar toward greatness.

We are confident that under Coach Lacy’s leadership, our Eagles will continue to grow, compete, and represent Cummings with pride, integrity, and determination.

Please join us in giving Coach Lacy a warm Eagle Nation welcome as we begin an exciting new chapter for our football program!

Scholars interested in playing can meet Coach Lacy personally, sign up, and discuss July conditioning on Wednesday, July 1st 1-3 PM in the cafeteria.

All parents and community partners can meet Coach Lacy and other program coaches on July 8th from 9-2 PM. Registration will be available at the meet and greet.

🥗🍗 Porter-Goodwill Boys and Girls Club Summer Highlights! 🍗🥗

Our Boys & Girls Club Summer Campers put their gardening, painting, and culinary skills to work during this week’s Healthy Habits sessions! Scholars enjoyed a step-by-step lesson on how to make easy chicken quesadillas while learning the importance of healthy food choices, kitchen safety, and preparing simple meals they can make at home to start the week.

Scholars took off their aprons to clean the school’s garden beds, practice their artistic skills, and compete in a marshmallow tower competition today. From following directions to creating a delicious and nutritious snack to enjoying time outdoors, our campers are having a great time learning to work together!

We’re proud of every camper for embracing healthy habits that will help them soar toward a brighter future! Huge thanks to Mr. Ife and the Porter Goodwill Team for all you are doing to give our scholars a great summer camp! Boys & Girls Clubs of America 🦅🌟👨‍🍳🎨🪴🦅
