WESS Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month by engaging our innovators in blended learning lesson spotlighting the Hispanic Culture! Shout out to 5th Grade teacher, Mrs. Ellis, for using videos and NewsELA digital articles to engage her innovators in informational text that spotlights Hispanic culture!

Our 5th grade Innovators are enjoying M-SCS's 5th Grade Enrichment activities during their Academic Period! These activities really have them thinking outside the box and relying on their life experiences!
Do Now #4 Asked students if they could draw the image without lifting their pencil from the paper. Our Innovator said "they never said that I couldn't take the paper from the pencil." Check out how she completed the task in the pics below!
Do Now #5 Had students participating in a paper cup challenge. One innovator used her origami skills to make a paper cup that held water for at least 10 seconds!
