You were a beautiful soul that brightened up every room and every heart that get to know you. Your positive energy, attitude towards life and bravery was contagious and will always live in our hearts.

Geetika you were one in a million.

ISA family send our love and deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. We are shocked and saddened by this devastating news, but remembering you Geetika with a smile as you would like to❤️.

Yay!!! We did it. A wonderful historic tour with our lovely guide Ms. Jackie from A Tour Of Possibilities LLC. We felt like royalty! Driving around Memphis in a caravan of cars, marked with tour flags and UTHSC logo. We even honked our horns downtown and everybody was laughing and waving :) !!!

We just finished the new students' orientation at UTHSC. We were there on all three days!

Thanks to all those who stopped by our table.

We enjoyed the intros and small talks 💕.

We also tried to raise funds for ISA by selling t-shirts. We were at the Plaza every Wednesday from August 12-1!

Memphis Explorers: are you ready for Saturday?
I can't hear you, what did you say?
Louder, please!!!
It's a big "YESSSS"...Yaaay

In 48 hours we will start our journey with A Tour Of Possibilities LLC!

This is just a glimpse of our historical adventure...

* Slave Haven: a site that documents the history of the Underground Railroad
* Historic Mason Temple: where on April 3, 1968, a day before his assassination, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous last speech; “I’ve been to the Mountaintop.”
* The National Civil Rights Museum/Lorraine Motel: where they trace the history of the Civil Rights Movement from its roots to the present. The site of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
* Beale Street: hear “the rest of the story” about one of America’s most iconic streets; also known as the Main Street of Black America, and officially named the “Home of the Blues" by an act of Congress in 1977.

There is so much more to Memphis than Downtown, and we are excited to show you more of it!

We will visit other neighborhoods such as:

Uptown, Pinch District, South Memphis, Soulsville, The Edge

Hello everyone!

From ISA we would like to let you know that SASSI has exciting news for all the international students at UTHSC. During the month of May, starting on May 5, they will offer an International Student Support Group scheduled to meet via zoom on Tuesdays at 1pm.

We would like to encourage you to participate, for example, if you are experiencing emotional stress related with this difficult pandemic time such as anxiety, fear, isolation, sadness.... Now you do not need to experience that all by yourself, you can be supported in a private environment. A counselor in SASSI, will be present at each group. Please note that this is a collaborative professional/student-led group created to support students.

This is a confidential and free group for UTHSC students only. It is in no way professional counseling or therapy

Please join to the group or forward the information to anyone that you think might be interested or in need.

Check out the SASSI website that describes the various counseling groups they are offering, their dates, how you sign up, etc
