Rhodes College Equestrian Team

We had a great time competing at the IHSA show at Sewanee this past weekend! We ended this season as 5th in the region for overall points, which is a huge accomplishment, especially for a new team like us! We are so proud of all our riders and so thankful for our coaches at Hunters Edge Stables and all of the people who continue to support us. Congratulations to:
🏅Meghan Finlay for earning two 2nd place ribbons in the Open Flat, 1st and 2nd place in Open O/F, and taking home Champion High Point Rider on Saturday!
🏅Elizabeth Mueller for taking home a 3rd and 4th in the Intermediate Flat and 4th place in the Intermediate O/F
🏅Alex Walcott for winning a 4th place ribbon in a competitive Introductory division
🏅Bailey Santos for earning 5th place in a competitive Introductory division
🏅Sarah Jude Sanders for doing a great job in the Introductory classes at her second ever horse show! Roll Lynx!

We had an amazing time at the IHSA show in Murfreesboro last weekend growing as both riders and teammates! Congratulations to:

Rhodes College Hunters Edge Stables Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association

Hi everyone! The Rhodes College Equestrian Team is looking for jump sponsors!

One of our main goals as an IHSA team is to make riding accessible for everyone, regardless of financial status. A great way you can help us fulfill this goal is through our jump sponsorship program!

How it works:
1. Donate $1,000 to the team annually
2. Get a jump with your business/name/logo on it to be displayed at Hunters Edge Stables during all lessons, clinics, camps, and shows
3. Sponsor names will also appear on our website and competition banner, which is displayed at all competitions

By donating to the team, you help pay for expenses such as equipment, competition costs, and more, which allows us to continue being accessible for any student who wants to ride!

While this semester has been busy for all of us, the Equestrian Team has made great strides toward our goal of competing at recognizes collegiate competitions! 🥳 From first-time riders and competitors to seasoned show veterans, a collegiate-level competition was new for all of us. While there is still work to be done and new goals to achieve, we are so proud of our teammates for representing Rhodes so well and hope that this coming year we can encourage more students to see what horses are all about!! ❤️🐱🖤

It may be a little late but that doesn’t change the fact that we had a great time at the Maryville IHSA show! 🥳🏆 All of our riders did a great job and either had some major improvements from the last show or had a fantastic first horse show! Special congratulations to:

🏆 Lauren Bean earning 2nd in a competitive Pre-novice class on Saturday

🏆 Bailey Santos and Alex Walcott on placing in both of their Introductory classes at their very first horse show!

The Rhodes College Equestrian Team needs your help to outfit our team members so we can look our best when we travel to compete at horse shows! We need everything from tall boots to show shirts and coats in both mens and womens sizes! Anything you might have would be greatly appreciated by all the team members.

This past weekend our fellow lynx tackled their first horse show of the semester at Sewanee! 🤩Everyone brought their A game and earned the ribbons to prove it 🥳💪 We are so proud of our riders for earning the following rewards:

🏆 Meghan Finlay earned 1st and 2nd in the open division on Saturday to secure reserve high point rider of the day and 4th and 5th on Sunday!
🏆Elizabeth Mueller Scored 2nd on Saturday and 4th on Sunday in Intermediate O/F!
🏆London Bielicke claimed 4th in Limit O/F on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday!
🏆Zoe Haug brought home two 6ths on Saturday in the Limit division and another 6th on Sunday!
🏆Lauren Bean received 5th in Pre-novice flat on Saturday and 6th on Sunday!
