Memphis STEM Academy Memphis STEM Academy was birthed from the Memphis Business Academy (MBA)Network of schools.

We opened our doors to kindergarten and first grade Scholars in August of 2016. Memphis STEM Academy mission is to promote academic excellence and future student success through a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and ongoing engagement in problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and communication. We strive to go beyond the traditional method of teaching by integrating project based and problem solving learning that allow our Scholars to explore the engineering process and develop our Scholars for future needs in all careers. Our Scholars design, construct, and build real-world projects out of recycled goods and resources provided from the Project Lead the Way and Engineering is Elementary, Scratch Junior and LEGO curriculums. The Memphis STEM Academy Principal, Dr. Lawanda Clark, is dedicated to providing students with an A+ education with an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and would like to share new educational opportunities to the Frayser area.

The Memphis Business Academy family is heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved Athletic Director, Coach Jerry Anthony.

Coach Anthony spent his life pouring into young men and women, helping them recognize their potential and preparing them for life beyond athletics. He exemplified MBAโ€™s mission with genuine love and a passion for students to succeed in school and beyond, investing in the character and confidence they would carry into their futures.

We are proud to have worked alongside him and to have called him an Executive. His legacy lives on in the students he mentored, the colleagues he encouraged, and the lives he helped shape. He will always be remembered as part of our MBA family.

Please keep his family, loved ones, and our school community in your thoughts and prayers.

Forever an Executive.
