Operating as usual
We celebrated our students who did well on our third Common Formative Assessments. Tauris Turner, better known as DJ Chuuch, turned us up as we celebrated the hard work our students put in. We are going reach our goals. Together, we must believe. Together, we will achieve.
Congratulations to KHS Assistant Principal Jason Jackson for being selected as the MSCS High School Superhero of The Month for February! We could go into why he deserves this award, but we’ll let his nomination by Ms. Alicia Tucker serve as explanation enough:
“Mr. Jason Jackson deserves recognition for going above and beyond to the staff and students at Kirby High School. Mr. Jackson brings a considered and thoughtful approach to leadership but equally a willingness to learn. Not rushed, I have interacted with him and observed him working with peers, faculty, and students. He takes the time to listen and make sure everyone is included in the conversation, then returns with a thoughtful and inclusive decision. Yet when it is time to take the initiative, he does enthusiasm and determination. His honesty, friendly and considerate nature qualities make him a natural leader... his generous nature, clear insight, and guiding vision have garnered the respect and admiration of staff, students, and the community. Students feel more welcomed, involved, and self-assured about their success. Staff at all levels feel more supported, respected, engaged and confident of the school's future growth. Within the limits of this short description, I cannot express all of the attributes that Jason Jackson possesses to qualify his nomination for the MSCS Superhero Award. Rest assured that the list would be too exhaustive. If I had to distill the description to its essence, it would include those tangibles: intelligence, vision, tact, diplomacy, leadership, decisiveness, and responsibility. However, of greater importance would be the list of intangibles that make up the fabric of a true leader of any organization: caring, respect, humility, commitment, dedication, humor, honesty, integrity, empathy, transparency, hard work, and resiliency.”
Congratulations Mr. Jackson, you are…
