Nothing beats a hot day like cooling off with a popsicle!

Our scholars look forward to Popsicles with Ms. Parker! Principal Parker makes it a point to engage with our scholars, call them by name, ask about their day, celebrate their wins, and simply remind them that they are seen.

Research shows that strong, supportive relationships between students and educators can increase a child’s sense of belonging, confidence, engagement, and motivation to learn. When scholars know the adults leading their school also know them, their names, personalities, interests, and stories, school becomes a community where they feel valued.

We hope you all are having a Happy Labor Day and go grab a sweet treat!

Starting school for the very first time, especially when you’re sharing the halls with the “big kids”, can feel a little intimidating. But our RISE Learning Academy scholars adjusted quickly, found their rhythm, and knocked out their first week like champs!

A huge thank you to our incredible Pre-K team for making sure the newest members of the MCP community felt welcomed, supported, and excited to learn from day one.

We’re already so proud of our littlest scholars, and this is only the beginning!

Memphis College Prep is proud to be recognized among the MSCS schools that demonstrated 2026 TCAP growth across every tested area: ELA, math, science, and social studies.

That’s a BIG win for our scholars and our entire MCP community!

The elementary years are about more than preparing for the next test or the next grade. This is where the foundation is laid. It’s where scholars strengthen their skills, discover how they learn, build confidence in the classroom, and develop the habits that will support them throughout their academic journey.

That’s why we continue to invest in the whole learning experience; strong instruction, dedicated educators, meaningful academic experiences, family partnerships, and a school culture that challenges our scholars while giving them the support they need to grow.
