It is with great sadness that I inform you all of the passing of another one of our very own classmates, Jacqueline "Jackie" Coleman Okoreeh-Baah in Nashville.

Jacqueline Yvonne Coleman Okoreeh-Baah, 67, was born on July 11, 1956, in Memphis, Tennessee, and passed away on March 11, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee. Jacqueline attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts (1970-1973), Melrose High School in Memphis, Tennessee (Graduated in 1974), the University of Tennessee Knoxville College of Engineering, where she studied Mechanical Engineering in 1974, and Tennessee State University, where she pursued Mechanical & Civil Engineering. She worked for X company as the Manager of Solid Waste Management.

Melrose family and friends it is with a heavy heart that We announce the passing of Keith Robinson’s brother “Big” Neal Robinson. Please keep the Robinson family in your prayers as they navigate these difficult times. Service Annoucements follow below:

Greetings Classmates,
It saddens me to inform you of the loss of another classmate.

Angela Jones Purnell and her husband, Paul, were killed in a motorcycle accident in Georgia on yesterday. No further details are available and no arrangements have been made as of yet.

Angela sang at our 2019 class reunion. Please be in prayer for their families. Updates will be shared as soon as info is received.

(Edited) This is the 5th classmate we've lost in about 2 months along with Rita Knox, Lorether Ayers, Jerome "Boney" Woods, and Roy Whitlock. Please, please continue to pray without ceasing for one another and the world as a whole.

Funeral services were July 20, 2019.

Boney was looking forward to attending the 65th Birthday Day Party. Ironically, the function was planned before he transitioned on the day of his home going service. The planners decided to dedicate the function in his memory. Rest In Peace Boney!

On Monday, August 9, 2021 Jerome "Boney" Woods was discovered by his sister in the family home deceased. The news of his passing spread quickly throughout the community and was received with sorrow and disbelief. Many neighbors, friends and classmates gathered outside the home to offer support to his family.

This weekend the family, classmates, neighbors, and friends of Jerome "Boney" Woods celebrated his life in a fitting way.

Visitation was held Friday, August 20, 2021 at Victory in Christ Christian Church located at 1683 S Parkway in Memphis, TN from 4 - 6 P.M. Thanks to hosting Pastors Melvin & Linda Jones for the use of your beautiful facilities.

Celebration of Life Service was held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Salem Gilfield Baptist Chruch located at 3176 Kimball Ave in Memphis, TN with a view from 10 - 10:55 A.M. and services starting at 11:00 A.M. Thanks to hosting Pastor Stanford L Hunt and congregants for the use of your beautifl facilities.

There Was None Other Like Boney. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He was always the life of the party and created laughter and joy wherever you saw him.
