Out of an abundance of caution and due to the forecast severe weather event, BCA will close early today. We’re asking all parents to pick their student up at 1:00 p.m. today, November 29, 2022. All after-school functions are canceled. Dorm students will be dismissed from their classroom at 1 pm and will remain on campus tonight.

Thank you to the students from Briarcrest Christian School who volunteered today as part of their Mission 1:8 Day. The freshman washed the school vans, read to lower school students, played at recess with K4 and Kindergarten classes and did yard work at our boys dorm. They worked hard and made a big impact on our students. Thank you for being a blessing to our school!

It’s a beautiful day of learning for our middle school students today at Luke Weathers Flight Academy!

It’s been an amazing first week of school at BCA! Check out some of the ways we’ve made learning fun‼️

Mrs. Johnson’s Kindergarten Class (K5) are learning about the five senses. In class they sampled foods to determine which were salty, sweet, bitter or sour.😋

The 5th Grade students showed their cohesiveness as a class by all 17 students playing together during recess time. 🏀

The 8th Grade students are studying the books of the Bible and today they were challenged to sort them into categories. The class completed the assignment in under 5 minutes! ✅

Our K-4 students are working hard to learn how to spell their names. Great job students!

BCA students memorize a new Bible verse each month during the school year. The verse for August is Matthew 6:33-34. We encourage you to learn it along with us!

A big thanks to our friends at Hope Church for another awesome Go & Do weekend! More than 30 volunteers and Hope staff completed projects for the school including painting, hanging white boards and backpack/coat hooks, van detailing and more. Thanks to all that served!

Congratulations to former BCA scholar, Elizabeth Costa, who graduated with honors tonight from Collegiate School of Memphis. Elizabeth is the 2021-2022 class Valedictorian and will attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) this fall on a full scholarship!

It’s National Teacher Appreciation Week and teachers and staff have been blessed with delicious lunches sponsored by BCA’s Board of Directors, Grace Evangelical Church and Hope Church. We are so thankful for your sweet gestures and encouragement!

Principal Carter had the pleasure of speaking today at the Tillman Police Station about community engagement. She also had the honor of meeting Memphis Police Chief, CJ Davis. We are thankful for the wonderful men and women in blue who serve our city!

Happy Testing Week! Please pray for our 3rd -8th grade students as they take the ACT Aspire test this week. Test are an important way to show students’ growth but we know they only tell part of the story.

Stay focused students and don’t forget what the Bible tells us in Philippians 4:13. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!”
