Without a White Coat ceremony in 2020, the D3 class persevered through a semester of clinic! Not the White Coat ceremony they imagined, but still a special moment in their careers today!
Swipe to see some students from the D3 class receiving their White Coats and personalized cookies from @muddysbakeshop! We are so proud of you, Class of 2022!

We’re back with another #tellmethetoothtuesday 😁🦷 Introducing D2, Miles Sawaya!
Hometown: San Antonio, Texas
Pets: None currently, but getting a dog is pretty high on my list of priorities after graduation
Hobbies: Reading is my go-to. Anyone who knows me knows I always have at least 6 books on my nightstand at all times...It's not normal...
Phobias: Not a big scary movie guy....
Biggest Pet Peeve: Bad Mexican food
Favorite Sports Team: San Antonio Spurs and the Texas Longhorns
Favorite Memphis Restaurant: Brother Junipers is my jam
Favorite Thing about Memphis: I never get tired of seeing a good sunset on the Mississippi River
Favorite ways to De-stress: Love to cook. Helps me reset after a long day.
Favorite Part of Dental School: The people. Hands down. The family you're blessed with in dental school is invaluable.
Would you do anything differently? Probably, but I'm too busy to spend time dwelling on that stuff.
Future Plans: Get back to Texas one day and open up a practice
Favorite Place to Study: I try to get a change of scenery every 3 or 4 hours, especially if its going to be a full day. I may spend the morning at Comeback Coffee on Main Street, the afternoon at the Health Sciences Library, and finish it off at the kitchen table.
Advice to D1's: Get a routine down and get it down fast. If you're disorganized and always tired and you let your health and wellness slip, it can take you a while to get back on track
Advice to Pre-dents: Don't be afraid of a gap year! Extra experience in the real world will be a huge asset in dental school. There's nothing wrong with being an non-conventional student.
Spending MLK Day serving at the Impact Ministries Health Fair! #asdaweekofservice #mlkdayofservice #impact2020
REMINDER: Mid-South Mission of Mercy is next weekend, January 24-25! Since 2016, @midsouthmom has served over 8,000 patients!! It’s our wonderful opportunity to serve these patients as dental students. It’s the perfect way to connect with other students, to see different dental techniques, and, most importantly, to give back to our community.
Mid-South Mission of Mercy also falls during #ASDAWeekofService for 2020. Please consider volunteering with your fellow ASDA members! 🤩👩🏻⚕️👨🏽⚕️🦷 @ University of Tennessee Health Science Center
ASDA Officer ➡️Transition⬅️ Dinner! Tonight we ushered in the new officers for 2020. We look forward to what they will do for our chapter this year, and thank our outgoing officers for all they’ve done!!
