The Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music proudly celebrates Dr. Artina McCain, Associate Professor of Piano, on her recent performance at Performa LIVE at Town Hall in New York City.
Presented in collaboration with Saint Heron and Solange Knowles, this prestigious event showcased Dr. McCain’s extraordinary artistry on a world-class stage. Performa is a renowned nonprofit arts organization recognized for presenting leading voices in contemporary performance and entertainment.
We are proud to see Dr. McCain representing the School of Music and sharing her talent with audiences at such an influential event. Congratulations, Dr. McCain, on this outstanding achievement!

Give yourself the gift of investing in yourself and experience the magic and joy of moving, creating, and making music. Open to all who have completed Orff Level III.
This course includes over 100 kid-developed lessons to
actively engage children in singing, playing, moving, speaking, and creating.
You will have opportunities to explore your own creativity through the lens of children. Rejoice in early music experiences, explore the breadth and depth of the Schulwerk, and find time for questions that have arisen since you completed Level III!
This masterclass focuses on classroom applications
of the 3 levels of work you have completed.

Meet Emily Woelke, Choral Music Education student from the University of Memphis.
About Emily:
Emily Woelke is a senior Choral Music Education major at the University of Memphis. During her time at U of M, she has served as section leader of University Singers, lead soprano of the 2025 DownBeat Award–winning Jazz Singers, Vice President of cNAfME, and President of U of M Blu A Ca****la. She also serves as a music intern at her church.
Outside of being a choir nerd, Emily enjoys coffee, training in Krav Maga and Jiu Jitsu, and spending time with friends.
About her career path Emily says “I am pursuing a career in music because I want to give the next generation a voice and teach them to listen to others — something our world deeply needs!”
