MPD’s K-9 unit took center stage at Douglass today! 🐾🐕

Memphis Police Department’s K-9 Unit visited our school to give students an inside look at their incredible work and teach important safety tips. The K-9 officers and their handlers demonstrated how these amazing dogs help in police work, from tracking missing persons to detecting contraband.

Our students were thrilled to learn about the training and skills of these highly trained dogs. They also received valuable advice on how to stay safe in various situations.

A huge thank you to Mr. Farris for organizing the event and the Memphis Police Department for this unforgettable and educational experience! 🐕
