1966-67 Snowden Band with Mr. T. My last year at Snowden before going to Central.

Thought this might be fun to share with fellow alumni. Jesse McDonald and I met at Snowden in 1997 as seventh graders. We became fast friends sharing classes and playing sports. We eventually fell out of touch after high school - Jesse moved to Murfreesboro for school and I stayed here in Memphis. I began doing marketing work and Jesse got involved in the culinary scene in Nashville. We reconnected in the past several years doing competition cooking. After a string a of success on the competition circuit, he's moved back to Memphis and we'll be opening a food truck this fall! And none of this would have been possible without a chance meeting at Snowden!

Once a Greenie, always a Greenie! What is the current mascot? How many mascots has Snowden had? When did they change? I was definitely a Greenie, even with a very short time of Green Devil.

Hi! I attended Snowden school back in 1967 (5th grade) while my father did a fellowship in the University of Tennessee. almost 50 years later I am spiritually returning to that wonderful age and trying to contact my schoolmates. I was a curiosity back then, as Im from Argentina. I came across the 1967 yearbook and would like to contact any of my former schoolmates. I was known at that time as Humphrey Alberti, the closer we could get to Humberto, my real name. My sister Sylvia also attended Snowder as a 7th grader and would also love to get some feedback from those times.

Join the fun! Weather looks great for our Lights! Camera! Snowden! event Sunday, Wiseacre handles 800 people and their HUGE lot is closed to cars - kid safe! My 1st grader will be running around with a bunch of his Snowden friends while the adults enjoy the music, beer and contemplate which Snowden student artwork to (silent) bid on.

See the long black things at the front of the stage in the Snowden auditorium in 1967? Those are lights that come up out of the stage floor - the same ones that are still there and in use today!

The lighting system in that auditorium is OVER 50 YEARS OLD!
