PVS honors Hadith contest winners-Lower Elementary
A Pleasant View School elementary math teacher started a club called Math League, and the first meeting was held on Jan. 24.
Ms. Rizwana Harun and students meet every Wednesday from 3:30 to 4 p.m. after school. Math League is a competition held in the US, Canada and other countries for elementary, middle and high school students.
Pleasant View School had its very first Arabic book club meeting on Jan. 30 with elementary school students.

Pleasant View School hosted their second annual fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness on Oct. 26 in the PVS gym. MashAllah, parents were the biggest donors with around $1440 raised. The proceeds go to the Susan G.Komen Memphis-Midsouth Affilliate.
Teachers & staff members attended a First Aid/CPR workshop in the Pleasant View School gym on October 28!
Pleasant View School daycare and pre-kindergarten classes participated in “Trike-A-Thon” on Oct. 13.
“Trike-A-Thon” is a day where students bring their bikes to school. Some students learn to ride and others ride their bike outside. Parents give a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for their student’s bike-riding day.
The event has been going on for many years. In past years, parents have given from $500 to $600. This year the goal is $1000.
Parents fill out donation forms and teachers send those forms out to St. Jude.
