💥 S.O. WHAT! Mentorship Program at IOTA Community Schools💥

This week, our high school students had the incredible opportunity to participate in the S.O. WHAT! Mentorship Program, a powerful initiative focused on turning setbacks into comebacks.

Led by the inspiring CEO and author Summer Owens, students were challenged to adopt a “So What” mindset—one that empowers them to rise above adversity, push through tough situations, and keep moving forward no matter what life throws their way. 💪

Summer shared stories from her own life, drawing from her deeply moving memoir, and reminded our students that obstacles don't define them—their choices do.

📚✨ Through honest conversation and real-life lessons, our students are learning to own their stories, find their strength, and believe in their futures.

Through hard work, dedication, and the Braiding Boot Camp offered by our CCTE Program led by Mrs. K. McCurry with IOTA Community Schools, these students have officially earned their State of Tennessee Braiding Certification! 💇🏽‍♀️💥

That’s right — they are now licensed to braid professionally in the state and are ready to start their own businesses and build real income before even graduating high school. 💼💸
We are so proud of these future entrepreneurs who are already turning passion into profit and showing what’s possible when opportunity meets determination.

Senior Parents!!!! Next Tuesday is FAFSA Family Night! We are asking the parents of all seniors to join us Tuesday, April 8th from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM to complete FAFSA applications for seniors. We will have professionals on site to support families with completing applications, and we'll also have food available if you're hungry 😁.

All seniors who complete the FAFSA application by the deadline will receive a one week out of uniform pass and entry into our upcoming Senior Field Day. If you have any questions or concerns about FAFSA Family Night, please email Principal Estes @ [email protected].
