The Defenders 4x800 relay team placed first in the region during Friday’s meet with a time of 10:42. Molly Cate Anthony, Caroline Sherrod, Emma Kate McDaniel, and Sarah Catherine Donovan will compete at the Division II-A state meet on Wednesday, May 25th in Murfreesboro, TN.
“This year's track team embodied what it means to strive together! Their consistency, their faithfulness in the small things, and their desire to love and encourage each other sets them apart,” said coach Stephanie Chester. “They continue to lean into the Lord and trust in the training they have put in as they develop the gifts and talents the Lord has given them. This team is young and fierce. They are paving the way with the leadership of the juniors to do some incredible things in the future. It is a joy to coach them.”
