Congratulations, JACOB!!!!! We also think “you did well”, and having known you since middle school, we believe we’re right! To say that Jacob is an overcomer would be an understatement. From the pits of MS ELA class to the peaks of the PAES lab, we have had the privilege of sharing every day with Jacob for many years. His curiosity, attention to detail, future-oriented thought, and fun loving spirit are just some of the things we treasure about him. Jacob did more than complete his internship at Habitat for Humanity Restore this year - he faced down the unknowns of his future and built a confidence that will carry him far in the post-secondary world. Jacob is the kind of person who takes his commitments seriously, so we are sure that he will succeed at Christian Brothers University, where he plans to study history with a focus on writing. Yay Jacob!

Congratulations, Carter!!!!! We are so beyond proud of you. Every year at Concord, we watched Carter grow into himself more and more. Even though we saw it all, it feels like we blinked and he turned into the confident and capable young man he is today. After graduation, Carter will attend a local community college. This is the first step in his plan to advancing his knowledge in the field of archeology with a college degree. We will miss his sharp wit and caring spirit so much, but we know that his curiosity, enthusiasm, and hard work will take him anywhere he wants to be. Go Carter!

Congratulations, AVA! You did it! Next stop, adulthood! We can’t believe that you’ll be graduating Concord in just a couple of days. We have so loved experiencing your bright personality, wit, and sense of adventure all these years. Ava’s internship at a local daycare solidified her intentions of working in the field of child development after college. To accomplish this dream, she has enrolled at a local community college and will be bringing that same joyful intentionality to her online courses. We’re so thankful to have gotten to know and support Ava all this time. We know she will soar beyond imagining!

Congrats, Angelene!!!! Not only did you finish high school, you had the initiative to set and meet your own personal goals while doing it. From her very first day, Angelene has always found a way to weave her personality and unique outlook to the way she approaches everything, including her friendships and her classwork. We have certainly seen this in our Talent Show, which will never be the same without her performances. After graduation, Angelene plans to join the academic world. She has will interview with local community colleges and is open to the career path that finds her. We know her spirit will shine bright wherever she goes; our halls will be just a little bit dimmer without her. We have seen her bloom over the last few years, and we know she’s not done yet - get ready, universe! We will miss you greatly, Angelene!

Congratulations, Lyndee! We’ve been lucky to share so many years with Lyndee and one thing we know for sure about her future is that she will give it her best effort, no matter what! From presentations to field trips (and everything in between) Lyndee has never hesitated to check the plan, jump in, and help others along the way. This attitude showed at her internship - Lyndee has remained involved with her daycare role even after completing the required hours. She also hopes to return to Concord in the fall to assist with coaching our basketball team. You can’t get to know Lyndee without being truly and really inspired by who she is. We can’t think of anyone else as patient and persevering, and we know these gifts will serve Lyndee well in this next adventure. We will miss her so much!

Congrats, Ava!! We hope 9th grade you is watching! We know how hard you’ve worked for this diploma over the years and we are so grateful to have been a part of your journey. Ava will graduate this Thursday, and we couldn’t be more proud. After graduation, Ava will continue to explore employment options that fit her interests and schedule. She excelled in her internship at a local daycare and is open to other roles that will utilize this skill set. Ava, the world is waiting for your gifts and certainly is a better place with you in it. We are so excited to celebrate this new chapter with you!

CONGRATS MIZUKI! We love having you at Concord, but we know it’s time to share your wonderful spirit with the rest of the world. Mizuki already knocked her internship at Mosa out of the park. 🤩 After graduation, Mizuki will be attending the Tiger Life program at the University of Memphis. We know she will bring her fabulous work ethic to the journey ahead, and we can’t wait to see what unfolds next! Way to go, Mizuki!

Alumni DJ came to speak to high schoolers at Concord. He shared some personal stories about the importance of responsibility after high school. With some work and college experience already under his belt, DJ was also able to speak to what it takes to be successful. He encouraged everyone going to a post-secondary school to arrive to class early and be prepared! For those joining the work force, he had some words of wisdom on “dealing with people”. Students were encouraged to ask him questions in this discussion-style chat. DJ also was able to speak about what life with a roommate is like and how to be a good one. Thanks for the advice, DJ! We love to see our students coming back to encourage their former classmates and friends. Go Lions!

Christian is behind the wheel! How is it possible that we have yet another amazing Concord Lion to feature today? With some help from , Christian has been pursuing his long-term goal of driving independently. He’s confident that after the program, he will have the skills to safely be on the road! He says the first place he will go is probably the gym, where he usually hangs out. We love that our Lions see no barriers to achieving their dreams. We know that driving is just the start for Christian!

Basketball is officially over at Concord. We hope you didn’t miss the last game of the season! Our students put it all out there on the court and we are so proud of them. We were able to honor our senior class, our volunteer coaches, and our teachers in some special moments during the game. Big thanks to everyone who helps make today possible! Lions - we’ll see you in the next season!
