In addition to our K-5 Black Excellence program running tomorrow morning, MSE middle is hosting a Black Gala from 4:30-6 PM, an evening of culture, music and art. The location will be the Elementary Cafeteria on the Mendenhall Campus with performances by guest vocalist, Donald Thomas and violinist, Zoe Johnson. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door or in advance from any Middle School ELA teacher. We hope to see you there!

Attention parents, families, and members of the community: In honor of Black History Month, MSEM grades K-5 will be hosting a Black Excellence program on Thursday, February 29th beginning at 9:00 AM in the elementary school cafeteria. This program will feature special performances from students in grades K-5, showcasing all there is to celebrate about Black arts, history, culture, and innovation. Mark your calendars, and come celebrate with us!

Students who received Principal's Honor Roll or Dean's Honor Roll for S1 will be honored at an in-person ceremony during the school day next Tuesday, January 30th. Parents and families of honorees are invited to attend. These students have been identified and will receive invitations in homeroom tomorrow. Please see the flier below for times and locations for each grade band's ceremony below.

School will be closed tomorrow, January 23rd, but we will fully reopen on Wednesday, January 24th. In the meantime, please see the document linked below for information regarding asynchronous assignments and enrichment opportunities to help combat learning loss.
