We recently welcomed guest speaker Rachel Shankman to campus. She spoke to 7th and 8th graders about her parents, who were concentration camp survivors. Her story was a meaningful tie-in to our 7th graders' recent reading of Elie Weisel’s Night, and helped set the stage for our 8th graders' study of WWII.

Did you know our Middle School Dean of Students and English teacher recently completed her M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Policy at Boston College's Lynch School of Education and Human Development? One of our favorite 7th grade science projects – squid dissection! Students recently explored the difference between invertebrates and vertebrates and learned how they are classified. After uncovering unique structures and their functions, students made calamari to enjoy!

It was all about family today at our 8th Grade Chapel Talks! Bear talked about how he's learned empathy, grit, and self-control (some key Formative Five traits) from being with his cousins, and Wren spoke about the importance of her grandfather and how much she loves his sense of humor. Sweet, heartfelt speeches! We continue to be wowed by our amazing 8th graders and the sentiments they share each week. Great job!
