In 2013, Sherwood Middle School became part of the iZone Network of Shelby County Schools, under the leadership of Principal Corey Kelly. On Wednesday I was able to attend this meeting and was intrigued by the thoughts of the educators that were in attendance. My current question to our parents is "What would you grade Sherwood Middle and why?" Also "How can we get better overall?"

If you are or know a High School senior, that has a low HS GPA or low ACT score, Mississippi Valley State University has a Program for you. It’s called the Summer Emerging Scholars Program. It’s an eight week program that focuses on English, Mathematics, Reading, Laboratory Skills, social skills, character education, and group building skills. Each scholar will receive full admittance to the university at completion of the program.
Here’s what they need to do. Email me at [email protected], I will send you the applications, brochure, and checklist. The checklist will tell you things you will need to have or have done prior to showing up for the program. The program begins June 6, 2023
