Ida B. Wells Academy

REIMAGINING education includes sparking inspiration in our students through visual/performing arts programs!
Grammy Award winning musician Dr. Jeffery Murdock is looking to be that spark! Dr. Murdock recently shared his time and talent with students from the Ida B. Wells Academy choral program.
"It was music that saved my life," said Murdock. "[It] opened the door for me to know that there were so many new horizons that could be pursued."
Thank you Dr. Murdock for continuing to inspire students through the art of music!
It was a powerful night at Pink Palace Family of Museums as we sought to β€œLift Every Voice and Listen” in our efforts to empower our students and celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth through art, music, writing, and the efforts of our African-American Male Empowerment Initiative.

Congratulations to our #BlackHistoryMonth Essay Contest winners!
