Student workers (past and present), this week is for you!! We appreciate all the work you have done and continue to do to leave Rhodes better than you found it. The student employee and RSA programs could not be successful without the hard work you all put in, and your supervisors are so thankful for all you do! Whether or not you’re working in your position remotely, your role as a student worker is essential to the Rhodes community. Thank you ❤️

A new phase of the RSAP page has just begun: RSAP Supervisor of the week! Along with continuing to recognize exceptional RSAs, we will now also be featuring the incredible professionals who mentor us every day and help build our personal and professional development skills.
We want to start off by recognizing the supervisor who makes the program possible! Karyn Allen is the Assistant Director of Financial Aid and is responsible for overseeing the RSAP Program and the (sometimes working, always goofy) RSAP coordinators. Here are some testimonials from Karyn’s current RSAPs about what it’s like to work with her!
“The opportunity to have Karyn as a supervisor and mentor is a tremendous gift. Her positive attitude and work ethic bleed in to every aspect of our office and inspires us to get the job done with a smile on our faces. She is incredibley talented at working with people and makes everyone around her feel accepted and respected. Karyn is a prime example of what it means to practice what you preach and we feel so lucky to get to work with her!”
“Working in Financial Aid would not be the same if it weren’t for Karyn (& Michael); however, Karyn as my supervisor has been nothing less of amazing. Every single day, no matter what, Karyn greets us with a smiling face and is always checking in and making sure that things are going well inside the office as well as outside of the office. Karyn has very easily became like a mom to us in FinAid—offering us love, support, and guidance while also keeping her expectations high. Running the RSAP program and Student Employment on campus, Karyn is the epitome of what a supervisor should look like—constantly pushing us as professionals in the workplace while also loving us as her own children.”
Karyn, we love you! ❤️

The radiant is our first 2020 RSAP of the week! Jackie is a senior who has been killing it working as the RSA in the language center.
Here’s what Jackie has to say on her experience in the program, “During my time as the Language Center RSA, I have had the opportunity to grow so much in my understanding of languages and of the cultures of the language speakers. The Language Center is a space where cultures are celebrated and it has been such an amazing experience for me to help foster a space of founded on inclusivity. I have grown immensely in many professional skills and have gained a lot of confidence in my abilities.” Keep it up Jackie! We appreciate you ⭐️
