We had an incredible weekend celebrating our 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame inductees! These alumni are some of the most exceptional athletes in our school's history. We honored them at halftime of the football game on Friday and held a special brunch for them the following morning. It was a great time to reconnect and celebrate our new class of inductees.

👟 We need your help serving our community! The Isaiah 117 House is just down the road from Harding Academy, and we are a Bin Buddy for big kid shoes. That means it is up to the Harding community to keep them stocked so that every child awaiting placement in foster care is able to receive new shoes. The house has had a lot of children coming through their doors in the past few months, which means we need to replenish their stock of shoes!

When: Now–September 8
Shoe Sizes Needed: Big kid (not toddler) sizes 11–7; NEW shoes only
Drop Off: In bins at the Little Harding, lower school, and middle/upper school main entrances

Congratulations to our 2026–27 lower school students who were selected by their peers to be Campus Life Ambassadors (CLAs). Students are chosen based on character traits such as being respectful, dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy. They will be responsible for introducing chapel speakers, greeting guests at events, and accompanying prospective students on tours.

🧪 It’s science exploration time! Today our kindergarteners got to visit the big kids in our biology and chemistry labs and learn all about science tools.

In the biology lab, students saw a lizard preserved in a jar, the neck bone of a giraffe, and a cell viewed through a microscope. Mr. Wallace also performed a color-changing experiment with Sprite!

In the chemistry lab, Mr. Smoak introduced students to safety equipment such as lab coats, goggles, and vacuum chambers. They even got to see a chemical reaction experiment and were especially thrilled when the power/liquid mixture bubbled and fizzed!

We’ve got eager little scientists in Harding kindergarten!

‼️IMPT info on campus power outages: Little Harding will be closed tomorrow (Monday, August 24) because we will not have functioning air conditioning.

We will not have an update on power restoration at our K-12 Cherry Road campus until around 5:00 p.m. today. We will send another update this evening when we know more.

Students have even more opportunities to explore their interests through classes like music, Minecraft STEM, Treble Chorus, Nutcracker Ballet, Gymnastics, LEGO Adventures, and more!
