Music is all around us. ❤️

The great Edward Elgar was profoundly inspired by nature. He lived in sight of the Malvern Hills in Worcester for most of his life, cycling around the local country and village lanes on his bicycle, which he named 'Mr Phoebus'. In 1934, as he lay on his deathbed, Elgar whistled a theme from his Cello Concerto to his friend W.H. Reed, telling him, "If ever you're walking on the Malvern Hills and hear that, don't be afraid. It's only me."

Our Spring Recital — which just happened to fall on Memorial Day weekend this year — is officially in the books! 🎹✨
I am so very proud of each and every student who performed! Every student played brand-new piece (or pieces) for the very first time, and they did so with such confidence, poise, and musicality!
Performing takes courage. It takes preparation, focus, and the willingness to step onto the stage and share your hard work with others!
Every student did exactly that, and it was truly inspiring to watch everyone’s growth, dedication, and joy come together through music!
Congratulations to all! I am so proud of you! ❤️

What a productive dress rehearsal we had yesterday! ✨🎹✨

I am so proud of all of the hard work, preparation, and growth everyone demonstrated. Looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish in the week leading up to our recital!

A lot can happen in just a few days. Confidence can grow. Details can become polished. Memorization can become more secure. Most importantly, perseverance and consistent effort begin to shine through.

Sometimes progress is not about huge changes overnight, but about continuing to show up, practice faithfully, and believe in the process. Every practice session matters, and every small improvement adds up over time.

Keep going, keep practicing, and trust the work you have already put in — you are more prepared than you think! 🌟

What happens when you practice your scales for 20 minutes a day over time?

More than you may realize.

Your fingers become stronger. Your coordination improves. Your sound becomes more even. Your confidence grows. And little by little, the music that once felt difficult starts to feel more natural.

Progress is built one practice session at a time. Even when it feels small, it matters.
